Forgiveness. Favor. Grace.

FORGIVENESS

He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west.

-Psalm 103:12

My dear. We will make mistakes.

No matter how hard we try to be sinless and perfect, along the way, our fleshly desires will creep in to our decisions, our actions, even in our emotions in service to God. I am not saying this for us to have an excuse to do whatever we want and abuse our forgiving God, but we also don’t let sin cripple us to turn away from God. Forgiveness and repentance is made available for us.

Forgiveness from God, forgiveness to ourselves and forgiveness to the people who have done us wrong.

Release yourself from the lies of the enemy. God paved His way through the cross for this.

FAVOR

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield.
He gives us grace and glory.
The Lord will withhold no good thing
from those who do what is right.

-Psalm 84:11

God’s favor surprises His children. It comes in an unexpected time and moment. Sometimes it could come from a favor from your boss, or a favor from something covered by laws, or you even get favor from impossible situations in life. As we all try to glorify God and honor Him in everything that we do, favor upon favor shows up around us, numerous times. Every time God would make us “kilig” with those small and big favors, let us not forget to point everything to Him. The honor and glory are His.

GRACE

The unmerited favor. As we all say.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

-Ephesians 2:8-9

Grace is a gift. You cannot earn it by taking credits. You cannot have it by doing good works.

The grace we all receive after receiving the gift of salvation is also not something to be abused. God is the judge anyway. Now talking about God’s grace, there would be life moments where you could just burst your heart out saying, “I don’t deserve this Lord but my heart is grateful”. There would be moments where God would showcase His grace to His children making you feel loved and embraced by the Father. Ahhhh, one of the best feelings ever! And oh!, may we always be reminded that “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” says Christ.

When we surrender everything at His feet, we let God do His work and show Who He is in our lives. Let God surprise us by giving Him the pen of every aspect of our lives, by letting Him be in control especially in situations that appears to be out of control, hopeless and tiring.

Now, here is my story for today. God lavished me with His love through those three points in just almost 24 hours. Amazing, right? The story of hope is available even when it seemed hopeless. The story of grace is all we need and His power could really be seen in our weaknesses. I just can’t contain the security and the contentment God has been giving me even during those days that I felt am worthless, for we are worthy, God made us worthy of Him. He gave the peace that transcends all understanding, the peace that goes beyond what the reality is or the chaos of the moment. Just keep on pressing forward no matter how hard it is.

God is just right there. Waiting for you to let Him move. Give Him the space and the rightful place in your life and be surprised.

My prayer for you, reading this, is to be able to endure every battle you are facing and for you to see how God has been moving, speaking and taking care of everything.
